Hello, I am Birnaz.

I've loved animations since I was a child, with my favorite being the Japanese anime 'Sailor Moon.' As soon as I finished school, I would rush home to watch it. Thus, my love for Japanese culture and animation began. By the way, I want to share my flipbook homework about Usagi and Chibiusa transformation from  "Sailormoon".

This sparked my interest in Japanese language and culture, leading me to pursue studies in Japanese Language and Literature at the university.

I graduated with a degree in Japanese Language and Literature, achieving the highest rank in my class. I also lived in Japan as a scholarship student for one year. If you're interested in my adventures in Japan, please read the section titled 'My Time in Japan' below.

If I mention briefly my life....

I've spent the past 6 years working as an online Japanese teacher. After completing my degree in Japanese Language and Literature, I realized that translation work wasn't where my true passion lay. Instead, I yearned for a more creative outlet, which led me to explore the world of animations and cartoons. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I sought training from experienced animators and dedicated two years to honing my cel animation skills. During this time, I even volunteered on a short series project called 'Kuzzuko' and pursued my animation training. If you want to watch my scenes of 'Kuzzuko'. Please click here.

One day, I made the spontaneous decision to take the exam for the Cartoon and Animation department just to see how it would go. Surprisingly, I passed the exam, and now I'm a third-year student in the Cartoon and Animation department. I studied in Poland as an exchange student for 6 months. I am in Australia on a Work and Holiday program to improve my English.

My Time In Japan

In the academic year 2014-2015, I had the privilege of studying Japanese at Osaka International University in Osaka. My time there was marked by active participation in various school activities.

One of the highlights was joining the 'Folk Song' club, where I had the opportunity to perform on stage three times. In collaboration with primary school students, our club, 'Hitori·Machi·Tsukuru,' engaged in a range of educational and entertaining activities. These included experiences like rice planting, collecting firefly cones, and assisting with temple festivals.

Additionally, I actively participated in English-related activities organized by the school's English club. These activities included events such as 'Let's Sing Christmas with Primary School Students,' 'Let's Introduce Our Countries,' and 'Let's Learn English by Playing Sports.' These engagements allowed me to interact closely with fellow students and enhance my language skills.

My time in Japan also included immersive experiences, including visits to Japanese families' homes, providing me with valuable insights into Japanese family life.

To support myself during my stay, I worked both as a waiter and a cashier in a cafe specializing in French bakery products for seven months. Interestingly, this experience led to an unexpected opportunity - I appeared on Japanese television. Furthermore, I completed a one-month internship at JTB, one of Japan's leading tourism companies, which further enriched my understanding of the country's culture and tourism industry.

As a testament to my dedication and performance, I received an increase in the scholarship granted by the school. My time in Japan was truly transformative, filled with learning opportunities, cultural exchanges, and personal growth.
