I'm not from the herd -  DeÄŸilim Sürüden

My favorite assignment that I animated at university was about those who don't want to be part of the drove. I did this flip book by using the cel animation technic.

A small flipbook work I made for people who choose to break out of drove and find themselves.

I love fish. Therefore, I used fishes for this animation.

I worked on a short cartoon series called "Kuzzuko" as a volunteer for two years in order that I could improve my animation ability.

The main character is a little sheep whose adventures with
his mother and friends are told.

Below, you can find scenes I animated for a short cartoon.

We began this Kuzuko Adventures with nine women members via a school called The Cartoon Mill. We, Nine women, received training online from professional animators who worked in the field while we were in quarantine during the Corona period. The Cartoon Mill is a cartoon institute located both in KaÅŸ and Cappadocia in Turkey. It invites animators experienced in the field and provides cel animation training in schools at certain times. I started my Cel animation adventure thanks to Fatih Küçük, the founder of Cartoon Mill. After the training, I was chosen as one of the animators of Kuzzuko, who became the main character of the school.

The scenario of the cartoon belongs to Fatih Küçük. I would also like to point out that he wanted the character not to make exaggerated movements.

Episode 3

I studied this scene for flying paper and running.

Exercise

I just tried to anime waking up of Kuzzuko.

Episode 5

I animated Kuzzuko who makes a wish and jumps off the bed.

Then this episode we decided to color Kuzzuko.

Episode 7

I drew Kuzzuko who tied the apple to the branch which is a arm of friend Snowman.
I tried to use anticipation, which is the 12 basic rules of animation. Firstly, it is stretched back and then it ties the apple.

Episode 7

I tried to give a 3D effect with the snowman turning itself around. With the apples and ropes coming from behind, I practiced "Follow through" and "Overlapping".

Episode 8

I studied leaf movement.

Episode 9

I animated the pine cone falling on the head.

I said before that I am an animation student at the university. Therefore I upload some assignments.

Hayaine - So speedy, isn't it?

It is a very short animation assignment. However, I think I can give the tail movement coming from behind the ball. I named it "So speedy, isn't it?" because it is fast.

Flour Sack and Swing: Disappearing While on The Swing.

While the sack of flour is walking by like dancing, a swing suddenly appears in front of it. The flour suck tried to ride on the swing but something went wrong. It was very speedy and is not on the swing now.

Flour Sack and Obstacle: Need More Sleep.

In this assignment, I tried to make a flour sack that is tired walking style and jump over obstacles.

Flour Sack and Pool: Pool Enjoyment

Animation of a flour sack climbing the stairs and jumping into the pool.

Flour Sack and The Ball: Be No More

Actually, this was going to be the animation of a flour sack kicking the ball, but I scripted this scene and thus I got an opportunity to work on a silent walking animation, too.

Flower Girl

I saw this character before in a challenge for drawing your style. Then, I drew in my style and animated it

Acting and Speaking Time!

I practiced speaking and acting.

Dialog

Man:What other Japanese words have you learned?
Woman: Hmmm arigatou

Man: Arigatou. Good!

Darkness Flower

Film Technique
It was made using stop motion and traditional animation techniques.

Explanation
In the movie, colorful flowers moving on lace symbolize women. As the flowers are collected, a darkness filtering from below envelops these flowers. The darkness slowly turns into a black jilbab. Those flowers slowly pluck inside the black jilbab, but you can't see them clearly because it's dark on top. The crumbling of the flowers is the woman's acceptance of the pressure on her, not fighting the darkness, but hindering her freedom within herself. The darkness that falls on him symbolizes the restriction of external factors. At the end of the short film, the woman sinks into darkness with eyes watching her.

Main idea
Women not fighting for their freedom but surrendering to the fate written for them.

I did the rough and clean-up work in the animation we made with my group. Besides these, I also did the rough animation for 2 scenes.

All of the animations above were made in Clip Studio. I also know a little about Toon Boom, Maya and Blender. I've added some of the animations I made below.
